Youth Eco Impact is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Northeast Ohio, dedicated to reducing single-use waste and fostering the next generation of climate leaders.
What We Do
Reducing Single-Use Waste
Our core mission is cutting down on single-use plastic and waste at the source; from helping local businesses switch to biodegradable straws and utensils, to advocating for reusable alternatives wherever we can.
Environmental Cleanups
From litter pickups at Cleveland Metroparks to plastic-collection projects, we get our hands dirty to keep the waste that's already out there from piling up further in our parks, waterways, and neighborhoods.
Educational Workshops
We run hands-on workshops for kids, teens, and adults; from recycling basics at learning centers like Mathnasium to microplastics deep-dives at the NEO Youth Climate Summit — because informed communities make better environmental choices.
“We started Youth Eco Impact because we noticed our own school throwing away things that could have been recycled. That one small realization turned into a community of young people leading cleanups, workshops, and partnerships across Northeast Ohio.”

ABOUT US
Two Students. One Mission.
Youth Eco Impact was founded in 2024 by two high school students who noticed how much single-use plastic and waste their school and community were producing. The more events we attended and the more we learned, the harder it became to look away, so we decided to build something that could actually do something about it.
Want to Get Involved?
Whether you’re a student looking to start a chapter, a business/school/community leader interested in going plastic-free, or a group who wants to volunteer at our next event, we’d love to hear from you.
